Victoria park is a forest located in Bhavnagar. As students of literature, we study the age of romanticism and also about the romantic poets who are also widely known as lake poets. The era of Romantic poets was a major break through in the history of English language. Romantic poets include William Wordsworth, Samuel Coleridge, John Keats, William Blake, T.S.Eliot, Percy Bysshe Shelly etc. were the prominent poets of this age. The imagination and creativity they used are unmatched even today. These poetries were special had some characteristics as stated below;

Interest in the common man and childhood

Strong sense of emotions and feelings

Presence of nature

Celebration of the individual

Importance of imagination

Supernaturalism

These are some common characteristics that are seen in the works of romantic era. This era was introduced after the classical age and its completely opposite to the classical rules and yet it possess its own beauty and it can be even considered to be the best age and in fact the most prominent age in the entire history of language.

Write about "how nature can influence the soul" (has it inspired you to write and reflect on something or not)

Nature is part of our day to day life. Nature is an inevitable part of our eco system and our survival without it is barely possible. Environment provides us with all the basic necessities and food for survival. It is the reflection of the mankind. Whatever we may do to harm it, it provides us with unlimited access of goodies. But everything comes with a price tag. Nothing in life is free. For the access of these natural resources one has to always maintain and look after the environment, and issues like global warming are just making things worse. Even the ozone layer was damaged up to a larger extent. As we all know that the mineral resources are very limited and excessive digging for those minerals has also damaged earth. But its is so saddening how we pollute and take it for granted when it comes to maintenance. We ruthlessly pollute it with plastics and carbon emissions knowing the adverse effects it might cause to us.

Arms of mother nature are as comforting as our mothers. We all love to spend time with nature and be a part of it. Poets of romantic age, also known as lake poets, undoubtedly have taken huge inspiration from nature and portrayed the enchanting beauty of it. Sitting by the river side or in a lush green forest who would not be inspired to write something beautiful or poetic?

I also was deeply inspired by the nature and its delightfulness it comforts us with, but looking at the exploitation of it I have tried giving it another view point.

The nature of nature resembles to a rollercoaster,

How each twist and turn enthrills,

Until it hands us a bills.

Keeping it clean, should be a strong will,

But unfortunately it's a slogan still.

Bewildered by the ban of plastic

We ignore the clock of nature that ticks.

Talking about the responsibility of loiter,

We are the sole exploiters.

If the nature's table turns,

We will have no place to run.

Learn that it's not an immense field,

It is definitely something to be yeild.

Victoria Park is a lush green forest situated in the city of Bhavnagar. It is also surrounded by a lake called Bortalav. This forest is famous for its variety of trees, animals and its observation points where one can climb up to see the enchanting view. The forest is more of a nature park and gives permission to people to visit park during specific hours. There is a variety of vegetation there and there are even hybrid centers in the forest. From cactus to flowers and from trees to herbs and shrubs everything is present there.  It was amazing to have a academic trip to such a beautiful place. The freshness in the air, the leaves covered with water droplets, the way rain produced the earthy smell and how each moment in the forest was beautiful compared to the previous one. It was overall very magnificent to visit such places and I would always look forward to visit such places more often than before.
